Meet the Designer
Hey I'm Aliya!

I'm a 21 year old who has a passion for fashion and graphic design. I am an introvert who can become quite bubbly once out of my shell, and someone who loves to point out innovative design or breathtaking architecture when walking down the street.
​
I am a graduate with a Bachelor's double degree in Communication Design and Digital Advertising. Knowing that I wanted to be a graphic designer came at a young age, prompting me for my 4 year double degree straight out of high school with no time to lose. I have been using Adobe based applications for five years now, perfecting my skills primarily within Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom and InDesign. These technical skills are used constantly within the degrees I am currently studying.

I plan on working overseas again one day, after my previous experience of working in London was a highlight of my career. With any future career opportunities, I intend to implement my years of design study to accomplish tasks at the highest quality.

My Journey
After graduating high school in 2017, I left with a passion of graphic design after completing three years of 'Visual Communication' as a subject. After getting accepted into a double degree at Swinburne University, I was taught about all the different sectors of Communication Design (please refer below to see the extensive list of these sectors). Alongside my design degree I was also accepted into a media and communications degree, where I learn't a lot of technical Digital Advertising skills.

Illustration
I have an extensive amount of experience using Adobe Illustrator, most commonly using it to create vector drawn illustrations that are designed and curated at a detailed level.
Publication Design
I am able to use Adobe InDesign to design and create any publication based design, with a eye for page layout design and grid structure.
Packaging
I have completed numerous packaging design related university assignments, learning pre-press techniques and proficient skills when designing dielines.
Branding
I am able to complete a branding based project, with years of university based experience designing logos, typography, icons, style guides etc.
Social Media
I have worked with real life clients to design social media posts, ads and stories. Alongside the design of content, I also have experience at looking at backend analytics of social media platforms Instagram and Facebook.
